Invoice Photos & Images
This document provides a comprehensive guide on how to store photos and images against an invoice using various methods. Whether you are using a mobile device, tablet, or desktop, this guide will help you navigate the process efficiently.
Storing Photos and Images Against an Invoice
Photos and images can be stored against an invoice by either taking a photo with a camera device such as a tablet, mobile phone, or desktop camera, or by uploading an image from your local drive.
Accessing the Invoice Screen
To upload images, you must be in an existing invoice; it is not possible to upload images while creating a new invoice. Follow these steps to access the invoice screen:
Open an existing invoice.
Click the photo/image icon located at the top-right corner, adjacent to the paperclip icon.
Alternatively, you can click the "Photos" button at the bottom of the screen, which is adjacent to the "Show History" button.
Invoice Photos List
Once you have accessed the photo/image section, the Invoice Photos List will launch, displaying any existing linked photos or images.
Adding New Photos and Images
There are several methods to add new photos and images:
Upload Image
To upload a single image from your local drive, follow these steps:
Click the "Upload Image" button.
Either browse for a file or drag and drop a file into the designated area.
Enter a description and comments if needed.
Click "Save" to complete the upload.
Take Photos (Tablet)
To upload multiple images (up to 30 at a time) using your tablet, or to take up to 30 photos directly, follow these steps:
Click the "Take Photos (Tablet)" button.
Click the "Get Photos" button.
On a desktop, a file browser window will pop up, allowing you to select the images needed. You can select multiple images by swiping over them with your mouse or by holding down the CTRL or SHIFT key while clicking.
On a tablet device, you can either select from existing images or take photos directly with the device.
Click "Close" on the screen once you have finished gathering images and photos.
Take Photos (Desktop)
If you need to gather multiple photos and images at a time, it is recommended to use the "Take Photos (Tablet)" method. However, if you prefer to take photos via your desktop, you can use the "Take Photos (Desktop)" option, which allows you to capture images using a webcam or other image capturing device connected to your desktop.
Emailing Photos to Customers
Photos are typically emailed to customers for Condition Report (or Damage Report) purposes. We can deploy a standard Condition Report template to your account on request. Please email your request hirepos@hirepos.com.au to have this completed.
