HirePOS API Reference

Edited

The HirePOS API (Application Programming Interface) allows external applications and services to communicate directly with HirePOS.

It can be used to automate common tasks, such as creating a new website booking, customer, or other supported record, without requiring manual data entry.

The API uses a standard HTTP interface, making it straightforward for developers and integration platforms to securely exchange data with HirePOS and automate supported workflows.

GET Requests

GET requests provided through the HirePOS API are intended primarily for data discovery and integration development. They allow integration platforms such as Zapier, developers, and other authorised systems to inspect the HirePOS JSON data structure and obtain example records when configuring an integration.

Where available, GET requests will generally return only a small number of recent records, typically up to 10. They are not intended for bulk data extraction, database replication, data warehousing, historical data synchronisation, or paginated retrieval of large datasets.

The HirePOS API is primarily a transactional API, designed for integrations that create, update, or interact with individual HirePOS records. Where larger datasets or ongoing data feeds are required, HirePOS can provide alternative export and data-delivery options better suited to reporting, analytics, AI, and data warehousing requirements.
