Online Store Item Categories

Item Categories allow you to organise how items are grouped and presented in your HirePOS Online Store. From the Item Categories tab, you can view your available categories, search for a category, edit its Online Store image, copy its category URL, and change the order in which categories are displayed.

To access your Online Store Item Categories:

1. Open the Online Store in HirePOS.

2. Click Setup Store Items.

3. Select the Item Categories tab.

The Item Categories tab displays your Online Store categories and provides access to the available category management options.

You can use the Find field at the top of the Setup Store Items screen to search for a particular category.

The order of your categories can be changed using the Sort Categories link located below the Item Categories list.

Click Sort Categories to open the category sorting screen and arrange the categories in the order you want them displayed in your Online Store.

To edit an Online Store category, open the Item Categories tab and click the category you want to edit.

The Online Store Category Details screen displays the selected category and allows you to manage the image associated with it.

Click Import Image and select an image from your device. Alternatively, you can drag an image directly onto the Drag image here area.

Once selected, the image is displayed in the preview area before it is saved.

Images selected using Import Image must be less than 4 MB. Supported file types include JPEG/JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP and SVG.

Click Save Changes to save the category image.

If a category already has an image, click Remove Image to remove it. The image preview will be cleared and the Drag image here placeholder will return.

Click Save Changes to confirm the removal.

You can also click Cancel to return to the Item Categories screen without saving your changes.

Each Online Store Item Category has its own category URL. These URLs can be useful when linking directly to a particular category from your own website rather than directing customers to the main Online Store page.
