Time Windows (Beta)
The Time Windows feature in HirePOS is designed to enhance the efficiency of delivery, pickup, and onsite service operations. By allowing users to set specific time frames for job completion, this feature ensures that drivers can effectively manage their schedules while accommodating client availability and site accessibility.
Adding a Time Frame
To add a time frame for a job, follow these steps:
From the Job screen (Bookings/Invoices screen) in HirePOS, click the Delivery/Pickup details button to edit the job address details.
Towards the bottom of the Delivery/Pickup Details pop-up, next to the Delivery Date/Time field, click the Time Windows button. The current job will be saved, and you will be redirected to the Time Windows screen.
In the Time Windows screen, the Delivery, Pickup, and Services boxes will all be checked by default. Uncheck any boxes as needed if the new Time Window only applies to certain job types.
Enter a Reason for the Time Window, such as "Site only accessible during this period."
Specify the Start Time and End Time.
Indicate whether the Time Window is an exclusion rule or not.
If multiple time windows are required for the job, click to Add another time window.
Finally, click Save Changes to return to the Invoice screen.
Future Development
The Time Windows feature is currently in its early release phase. Future enhancements will include:
Integration of Time Windows for the vWork system.
Incorporation of Time Window information in the Delivery/Pickup Schedule, driver calendar, and driver allocations screens.
Utilisation of time windows for auto-generated services to ensure appropriate timing.
Improvements in auto-routing based on time window specifications.
