Pricing Options for Packages
Fixed Price Packages
Packages can be set for a "fixed" price that will not recalculate based on the duration of the hire. To establish a fixed price, it is essential to ensure that the Selling Units applied to the package are not time-based units. This means that the "Time Span" and "Interval" values must not have any values set.
Dynamic Pricing with Autocalc
Alternatively, packages can be configured to change prices dynamically through the Autocalc feature. This feature recalculates the rates and prices based on the hire duration, allowing for more flexibility in pricing.
Online Store Acceptance & Packages
When accepting orders via the online store, the Autocalc function ensures that all item rates and prices are recalculated to match the period of hire. For businesses focused on events and party hire, it is recommended to use only non-time-based units in packages. Typically, hires may be structured as weekend or week-long rentals at a fixed rate.
