Troubleshooting Login Issues in HirePOS
If you’re experiencing login issues in HirePOS, it’s usually something simple and easy to resolve. Follow these steps to troubleshoot the problem:
1. Check Your Login Details
Double-check your credentials: Ensure your email address and password are entered correctly. Passwords are case-sensitive, so confirm Caps Lock isn’t on.
Reset your password:
Click the Forgot Password link on the login page.
Enter your email address and click Send Instructions.
If your email is registered in HirePOS, you’ll receive a link to reset your password.
2. Are You Using SSO (Single Sign-On)?
If you previously logged in with Microsoft or Google, your account may now require SSO exclusively.
If this is the case, you will receive an email letting you know that you have tried to sign in using the wrong method
Your HirePOS admin may also have restricted your account to SSO.
SSO benefits: Using Microsoft or Google with multi-factor authentication (MFA) is a more secure and convenient way to log in.
Ensure you’re signing in with the correct provider.
To switch back to username/password login, contact your HirePOS admin. They can disable SSO for your account via Setup > Preferences > Users.
3. Is Your Account Confirmed? (New Users)
Check with your HirePOS admin to ensure your account is confirmed.
When invited to HirePOS, you’ll receive an email to create a password. Afterward, your admin must confirm your account and assign roles/permissions before you can log in.
4. Is Your Account Active? (Existing Users)
Confirm that the email/account you’re using is active.
HirePOS admins can deactivate accounts, which prevents login.
If your account is inactive, your admin may need to contact HirePOS Support to reactivate it. Identity verification may be required.
5. Clear Browser Cache and Cookies
Cached data can sometimes interfere with login. Clear your cache and cookies, then try again.
Alternatively, use a private/incognito browser window to log in.
6. Check Your Internet Connection
Ensure your internet connection is stable and active. Even brief disruptions can cause login failures.
7. Verify the Correct Login Page
For desktop/tablet users:
Use app.hirepos.com, app2.hirepos.com, or beta.hirepos.com (if you’re a beta user).
For mobile users:
Use mobile.hirepos.com.
8. VPNs and Browser Extensions
VPNs: Some VPNs can disrupt HirePOS performance. Disable your VPN and try again on a trusted network (e.g., home or work).
Browser extensions: Security suites, popup blockers, and anonymizers may interfere with login.
Disable extensions/plugins or try using an incognito/private browser window.
9. Browser Compatibility
HirePOS works best on modern browsers like Chrome, Edge, or Safari.
Update your browser to the latest version or switch to a supported option.
10. Firewall or Security Settings
If logging in from a workplace or public network, firewall or security settings may block access.
Try logging in from a different network, such as your mobile data.
11. Contact HirePOS Support
If none of the above steps work, ask your HirePOS Admin to contact HirePOS support via the online webchat available at www.hirepos.com
Provide the following details to help troubleshoot:
