Cannot find an item
This document provides a comprehensive guide on how to efficiently locate both active and inactive items within the HirePOS system, as well as how to customise search preferences for optimal results.
Using the Global Search
In HirePOS, the global search icon, represented by a magnifying glass, is located in the top menu bar. This tool allows for quick and efficient searches across various areas within the system. To utilise the global search, follow these steps:
Click the magnifying glass icon.
Set the search option to "Items/Packages."
Type a Code or Description then press enter.
This method is particularly effective if you know the Code or Description of the item you are trying to locate, as it ensures that no other filters are applied. For further assistance, please refer to the Global Search help guide.
Searching for Inactive Items
If an item has been marked as inactive, it will only be visible in the Inactive tab within the Setup section of the system. To search for inactive items, follow these steps:
From the main menu strip at the top, navigate to Setup > Items.
Click on the Inactive tab.
Search for the item by either Code or Description.
