The Dashboard feature in HirePOS serves as a comprehensive tool that provides users with a snapshot of key business metrics for quick reference. This document outlines how to access and customize the Dashboard, as well as details on the various tiles available for monitoring your business performance.

Accessing the Dashboard

To access the Dashboard, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Home screen.

  2. Choose the Dashboard tile.

Customizing the Dashboard

If you wish to add extra tiles to the Dashboard, you can do so by following these steps:

  1. While on the Dashboard screen, click the "Customise Dashboard" link, which is located towards the bottom left.

Depending on your user permissions, you will see a variety of tiles available for customization. It is important to note that HirePOS Admin users have access to all available tiles for customization.

Note that the Customise Dashboard button behaves differently depending on which dashboard you’re currently viewing:

  • On the Standard Dashboard, it will open the main dashboard settings, where you can enable or disable various tiles as mentioned above.

  • On the Custom Dashboard, it will instead open the Custom Request screen, from which you can request us to set up your Custom Dashboard for you.

Dashboard Tiles

Customer Collections

Displays the count of active Bookings/Invoices for the next 4 days that do not require a delivery.

Customer Returns

Displays the count of active Bookings/Invoices for the next 4 days that do not require a pickup.

Deliveries

Displays the count of active Bookings/Invoices for the next 4 days that require a delivery.

Pickups

Displays the count of active Bookings/Invoices for the next 4 days that require a pickup.

Bookings/Hires (per Month)

Displays the count of Bookings/Invoices per month for both the previous and next 12 months.

New Customers vs Churned (per Month)

The New Customers vs Churned (per Month) dashboard tile provides a visual representation of New Customers and Churned Customers on a monthly basis.

New Customers Calculation

New customers are calculated based on the first Invoice Date of all active customers in the system.

Churned Customers Calculation

Churned customers are calculated based on the last Invoice Date of all inactive customers in the system.

Payments (k per Month)

Displays total payments received per month for the last 12 months with comparisons to the previous 12 months.

Sales (k per Month)

Displays total sales amounts (Invoices) per month for the last 12 months with comparisons to the previous 12 months.

Sales (Avg Value per Month)

Displays average sales amounts (per Invoice) per month for the last 6 months with comparisons to the previous 6 months.

Sales Conversion Rates (% per Month)

The Sales Conversion Rates (% per month) will display the customers that have been successfully 'converted'. In the context of HirePOS and this dashboard tile, both "Bookings" and "Invoices" count as converted records. Quotes and Reservations count as "unconverted" records in the context of this tile. Additionally, only the record date (quote date, booking date, invoice date) is considered by this tile.

For a more detailed look at Quote conversion progress, consider using the dedicated Quote screen in HirePOS. You can access this from the main menu (CRM > Quotes).

Recurring Invoices Due

Displays the count of Recurring Invoices due to be created and the count of Recurring Invoices not emailed yet.
