To ensure a seamless experience with HirePOS, it's important to address potential performance issues before contacting our support team. Often, issues stem from the user's internet connection, device performance, or VPN usage. Follow these steps to troubleshoot and enhance your HirePOS performance.

Check Your Application Version

Verify that you are using the correct version of the application:

  • Production App: The URL should start with https://app.hirepos.com/.

  • Beta App: The URL should start with https://beta.hirepos.com/.

Using secondary Beta sites (e.g., https://beta2.hirepos.com) may result in performance issues due to limited resources.

Test Your Internet Speed

Internet speed significantly impacts application performance. Use a reliable service like Telstra Speed Test to check your speed. For optimal performance, ensure your speed is above 10Mbps. Consider upgrading your internet plan if necessary.

Monitor Device Performance

High CPU or memory usage can affect your experience. On Windows, press CTRL + ALT + DEL to open Task Manager and check your CPU and memory usage. If either exceeds 90%, consult a technician to resolve resource consumption issues.

Disable VPNs and Browser Extensions

VPNs can hinder performance by slowing down your internet connection. If you're using a VPN, consider disconnecting it to see if performance improves.

Additionally, security software (e.g., McAfee, AVG) and browser extensions may interfere with HirePOS. Whitelist HirePOS in your security settings or use a separate browser without extensions to optimize performance.

Optimize Double Booking Checks

If you often check for double bookings in HirePOS, consider disabling automatic checks for improved efficiency. To do this, navigate to Setup > Preferences > Restrictions and enable "Manual double-booking check only." You can refresh the double booking tab on the invoice screen to check for conflicts manually.
