This document provides instructions on how to set up vehicle registration reminders within the HirePOS system. By following these steps, users can ensure timely renewals and maintain compliance with vehicle registration regulations.

Adding a Vehicle Registration Reminder

To set up a vehicle registration reminder, please follow the steps outlined below:

  1. From the main menu strip at the top, navigate to Setup > Items.

  2. Edit an existing vehicle from the items list.

  3. In the item details screen, click on the Other tab.

  4. Enter the registration expiry date in the Next Rego Due field.

  5. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Save Changes.

Once you have completed these steps, a Rego Due reminder will appear on the reminders list on the main screen when the registration is due. Additionally, you can look up vehicle registrations that are due by navigating to Reports > Items > Registrations Due.

Checking Upcoming Vehicle Registrations

In addition to setting up vehicle registration reminders, HirePOS users with the Allow Maintenance permission can access the Maintenance > Equipment Overview screen and view the Rego Due tab, which lists all vehicles with a registration expiry date.

Furthermore, HirePOS users with the Allow Reports permission can run the report located at Reports > Items > Rego Due & Inspections Due.

Setting up vehicle registration reminders is essential for staying on top of renewing your vehicle registrations and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Updating Vehicle Registration Dates

After you action a vehicle registration renewal you can update the registration date via:

  • Setup > Items

    • Select the item

    • Navigate to the 'Other' tab

    • Update the Rego Due to the new due date

    • Save

  • Maintenance > Equipment Overview

    • Rego Due tab

    • Click the Rego Due date of the affected item

    • Update the Rego Due date in the popup

    • Click 'Save'
