Disable AutoFill in your Browser

When using web browsers, you may encounter autofill suggestions for address fields or customer details based on your browsing history. If you wish to disable this feature in Google Chrome or a similar browser, follow the steps below.

If you prefer to disable autofill features in your browser while using HirePOS, follow the instructions below for the main browsers.

Google Chrome

  1. Open Chrome and click on the three dots menu in the upper-right corner.

  2. Select Settings from the dropdown.

  3. In the left sidebar, click on Autofill.

  4. Select Addresses and more.

  5. Toggle off the switch next to Save and fill addresses to disable autofill.

Microsoft Edge

  1. Open Edge and click on the three dots menu in the upper-right corner.

  2. Select Settings.

  3. Click on Profiles in the left sidebar.

  4. Under the Addresses and more section, toggle off the switch next to Save and fill addresses.

Firefox

  1. Open Firefox and click on the three horizontal lines menu in the upper-right corner.

  2. Select Settings.

  3. Click on Privacy & Security in the left sidebar.

  4. Scroll down to the Forms & Autofill section.

  5. Uncheck the box next to Autofill addresses to disable the autofill feature.

Safari (macOS)

  1. Open Safari and click on Safari in the menu bar.

  2. Select Preferences.

  3. Go to the Autofill tab.

  4. Uncheck the box next to Using info from my contacts and any other relevant options to disable autofill.
