Cannot Sign Into HirePOS

Edited

Important: Use the Sign-In Method Linked to Your User

You must use the sign-in method configured for your HirePOS user account.

If your HirePOS user is linked to Microsoft or Google Single Sign-On, you cannot sign in using a HirePOS username and password. You must select the applicable Microsoft or Google sign-in option and use the account linked to your HirePOS user.

The Forgot Password option will not enable HirePOS password sign-in for a user linked to Microsoft or Google Single Sign-On.

If you are unsure which sign-in method applies to your user, ask a HirePOS Admin within your business.

Where Does the HirePOS Sign-In Process Stop?

Identify the stage at which you cannot continue:

  • Your HirePOS email address or password is rejected: Confirm that your user is configured for HirePOS password sign-in, then check your credentials or reset your password.

  • You normally use Microsoft or Google: Select the same Single Sign-On provider. You cannot use a HirePOS username and password for an SSO-linked user.

  • Microsoft or Google sign-in fails: Check that you selected the correct Microsoft or Google account.

  • Your initial sign-in is accepted but HirePOS requests a code: Complete the required two-factor authentication.

  • You did not receive an email verification code: Check your registered email address and email filtering.

  • Your authenticator app code is rejected: Check the device time and use the current code.

  • Your sign-in is accepted but access is denied: Ask your HirePOS Admin to check whether your user is active.

  • You received a verification code you did not request: Secure your account immediately.

I Cannot Sign In Using My HirePOS Password

First confirm whether your user is configured for HirePOS password sign-in.

If your user is linked to Microsoft or Google Single Sign-On, HirePOS username-and-password sign-in is disabled for that user. Select Sign in with Microsoft or Sign in with Google instead.

Do not use Forgot Password unless your user is configured for HirePOS password sign-in. Resetting or changing a HirePOS password will not allow an SSO-linked user to bypass Microsoft or Google sign-in.

If your user is configured for HirePOS password sign-in, check:

  • The email address has been entered correctly.

  • Caps Lock is not enabled.

  • There are no spaces before or after the email address or password.

  • A password manager has not inserted details for another account.

  • The email address matches the address registered against your HirePOS user.

HirePOS passwords are case-sensitive.

Microsoft Sign-In Is Not Working

Select Sign in with Microsoft if your HirePOS user is linked to a Microsoft account.

You cannot sign in using a HirePOS username and password while Microsoft Single Sign-On is linked to your user.

The Microsoft email address must match the email address registered against your HirePOS user.

Check that:

  • You selected the correct Microsoft account.

  • Your Microsoft account is active.

  • Your Microsoft password is correct.

  • Your organisation has not blocked or suspended the account.

  • Any Microsoft multi-factor authentication request has been completed.

If your browser automatically selects the wrong Microsoft account, sign out of Microsoft and try again using the correct account.

The HirePOS Forgot Password option does not reset your Microsoft password and cannot enable HirePOS password sign-in. Contact your organisation’s Microsoft administrator or IT provider for assistance with the Microsoft account.

Google Sign-In Is Not Working

Select Sign in with Google if your HirePOS user is linked to a Google account.

You cannot sign in using a HirePOS username and password while Google Single Sign-On is linked to your user.

The Google email address must match the email address registered against your HirePOS user.

Check that:

  • You selected the correct Google account.

  • Your Google account is active.

  • Your Google password is correct.

  • Your organisation has not blocked or suspended the account.

  • Any Google two-step verification request has been completed.

If your browser automatically selects the wrong Google account, sign out of Google and try again using the correct account.

The HirePOS Forgot Password option does not reset your Google password and cannot enable HirePOS password sign-in. Contact your organisation’s Google administrator or IT provider for assistance with the Google account.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. If your HirePOS user is linked to Microsoft or Google Single Sign-On, you must use that provider to sign in. HirePOS username-and-password sign-in is not available for that user.

Will resetting my HirePOS password let me bypass Single Sign-On?

No. A HirePOS password reset does not remove or bypass Microsoft or Google Single Sign-On.

Can HirePOS Support reset my Microsoft or Google password?

No. Microsoft and Google passwords are managed by those providers. Contact your organisation’s IT administrator or identity provider.
