Setting Up TrackUnit
Access the TrackUnit Manager by visiting TrackUnit Manager.
Log in to your TrackUnit account.
Click on your user icon at the top right corner and select API Access.
Click on the Create New API User link to generate a new API.
Keep the Creating API User prompt open.
In HirePOS, navigate to Setup > Preferences > Accounting Integration & Other API's, then select the TrackUnit (GPS Tracking) option.
Copy and paste the API keys from TrackUnit to the relevant fields in HirePOS.
Save the changes to establish the connection between HirePOS and TrackUnit.
Setting Up Item GPS References
Access the TrackUnit Manager by visiting TrackUnit Manager.
Log in to your TrackUnit account.
Click on the Fleet menu icon in the left menu panel.
Copy the Name column from TrackUnit and paste it to the corresponding item in HirePOS.
In HirePOS, go to Setup > Items and locate the relevant equipment.
Within the Item details screen, go to the Custom Fields tab.
Paste the GPS Reference from TrackUnit into the GPS Reference field.
Save the changes to link the item to the TrackUnit reference.
Get Latest Meter Reading
Go to Maintenance > Meter Readings in HirePOS.
Search for the item you want to retrieve the meter reading for.
Click on the GPS Meter Reading button and wait for the reading to be fetched.
If there is no matching GPS Reference, an error will be displayed.
The New Meter Reading prompt will show the latest reading automatically.
Click Save to store the new meter reading and view the updated history.
By following these steps, you can effectively integrate TrackUnit with HirePOS to enhance your construction operations and ensure seamless data synchronization between the two platforms.
