Events Module (Overview)
The Events module is designed for businesses in the events and entertainment industry. This module consididates related sales records, such as Quotes, Bookings, Invoices, and Purchase Orders, into a centralized space. This feature is particularly beneficial when managing multiple customers or delivery locations within a single project.
One key functionality of the Events module is the ability to generate picking slips and delivery documents for the entire event, enhancing operational efficiency in various scenarios. Additionally, users can generate detailed reports on events, providing a comprehensive overview of complex projects.
Activating the Events Module
To activate the Events module, follow these steps:
Navigate to Setup > Preferences > Modules.
Select the Events module.
Click on Save to enable the module.
Creating a New Event
To create a new event, follow these steps:
Navigate to Events > New event.
Enter the Event Name.
Add a Delivery Address for the event.
Set the Booked From date as the start date of the event.
Set the Booked To date as the expected return date of all equipment.
Add any relevant comments for identification purposes.
Click on Save New to create the event.
Adding Sales Records to the Event
To assign existing sales records to the event, follow these steps:
Open an existing invoice and select the event from the Event dropdown field.
After saving the invoice, navigate to Events > Find event to view the assigned invoices.
Any changes made to the event dates will automatically update all associated invoices and bookings.
