Item Message feature allows you to add additional once-off details to an item on a Sales Record. This feature is useful when you need to provide extra information beyond the default item description.

Adding Item Messages

When adding an item to a sales record, follow these steps to utilize the Item Message feature:

  1. Open or create a Sales Record

  2. Add or locate a line item on the sales record.

  3. Click on the grey rectange just left of the item code column, this will show the line content menu.

  4. Select the "Item Message" option from the menu.

  5. A new row will appear just below the item where you can input additional multi-line text.

Remember that the item "Description" field in HirePOS allows up to 255 characters.

Using the Item Message feature, you can provide more detailed information without overcrowding the main description fields.
