This document provides a comprehensive guide on how to effectively utilize the POS Screen feature to streamline Cash Sales within the hirepos system.

Setting up The POS Screen

To begin using the POS Screen for Cash Sales, follow these steps:

  • Set up a Cash Sale Customer.

  • Go to Setup > Preferences > Miscellaneous.

  • Select the cash customer if you have not already.

  • Click the "Use POS Interface for Cash Sales" option.

Adding Items to POS Screen

To add items to the POS Screen as buttons, follow these instructions:

If you want an item to appear as a button on the POS screen, you can edit the item in Setup > Items > Edit Item > Stock Control tab and simply tick the "POS Button" checkbox at the bottom.

Using the POS Screen

Once the POS screen is enabled, follow these steps to efficiently process Cash Sales:

  • You will have a prominent Cash Sale button on the main menu.

  • Click the Cash Sale button to access buttons for item categories with designated POS Buttons. You can also use item codes, a Barcode scanner, or search for items normally.

  • After adding all items, you will see "Pay Cash" and "Pay Eftpos" buttons.

  • Upon receiving payment, a paid invoice is generated for your Cash sale customer, completing the transaction.

By following these steps, you can efficiently utilize the POS Screen feature to expedite Cash Sales and enhance the overall sales process within the hirepos system.
