Cannot Find Existing Customer

This document provides a comprehensive guide on how to search for customers and manage customer overview settings within the system. It is designed to assist users in efficiently locating both active and inactive customers, as well as customizing their search preferences for optimal results.

Searching for Inactive Customers

If a customer has been marked as inactive, they will only appear in the Inactive tab within the Setup section of the system.

Steps to Search for Inactive Customers

  1. From the main menu strip at the top, navigate to Setup > Customers.

  2. Click on the Inactive tab.

  3. Search for the customer by name.

  4. If you are unable to find the customer, consider using the global search feature:

    • Click on the global search icon (magnifying glass) in the main menu bar.

    • Enter the customer's name or phone number.

    • Press Enter to search.

    • Click on any search result under the Customers header to view the Customer Overview screen.

To customize your search settings for the customer overview, follow these steps:

Steps to Adjust Customer Overview Search Settings

  1. From the main menu strip, go to Sales/Hire > Customer Overview.

  2. Click on the Search for Customer... dropdown.

  3. Next to the dropdown list, locate the blue cog icon.

  4. Click on the cog icon to open the Customer Search Settings popup.

  5. Adjust the search settings to Begins With or search by Address, Phone, or Email.

  6. Save the settings after making adjustments.

Important Note

Remember to revert the settings back to Search by Company/Name and Anywhere once you have found the desired customer, as these preferences are saved permanently.
