Customer Identification

This document provides a comprehensive guide on how to capture customer identification information within the HirePOS system. The process includes capturing customer photos, driver's license details, vehicle registration information, and date of birth.

Customer Photo / Driver's License Image - Method 1

To capture customer photos or driver's license images using Method 1, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Sales/Hire button on the main screen or navigate to Sales/Hire > Customer Overview from the menu bar.

  2. Select an existing customer or add a new customer.

  3. Click the camera icon button located in the customer address box to access the Images tab in the Customer details screen.

  4. Two image placeholders are provided for front and reverse images of a driver's license or customer photo. You can drag and drop images, take a photo with your device, or import an image from your local drive.

Method 2 for Image Upload

To upload images using Method 2, follow these steps:

  1. Follow the instructions in Method 1 to navigate to the Customers screen.

  2. Click the paperclip/attachments button at the top right of the Customer details screen.

  3. Drag and drop an image file or any other popular file format into the Drag file to upload placeholder or click the Browse file to upload button.

  4. Once uploaded, you can access the file from the paperclip/attachments button at any time.

Driver's License, Vehicle Registration, and Date of Birth

For capturing driver's license, vehicle registration, and date of birth information, follow these steps:

Method 1 (Adding a New Customer)

  1. Click the Sales/Hire button on the main screen or go to Sales/Hire > Customer Overview.

  2. Click the New Customer button.

  3. Click the + Driver License Details link at the bottom of the New Customer popup.

  4. Enter the customer's license details and click Save when done.

Method 2 (Existing or New Customer)

  1. Edit the customer details via the Customer Overview screen or Setup > Customers.

  2. Click the Identification sub-heading to expand this section.

  3. Fill in the relevant customer identification fields.

  4. Click Save Changes at the bottom when finished.
