Google Single Sign On

Edited

In this document, we will guide you through the process of signing in to HirePOS using your Google account. By integrating your Google account with HirePOS, you can leverage Google's identity platform features like passwordless sign-in and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for enhanced security.

Initial Setup

When creating new user accounts on HirePOS, you must first establish them with a HirePOS username and password. Once the initial setup is complete, you can proceed to link your Google user account to your HirePOS user account.

Single Sign-On (SSO)

Upon signing into HirePOS using your Google account, the Single Sign-On method will be activated. Subsequently, you will no longer be able to utilize your HirePOS username and password for logging in. Single Sign-On offers a higher level of security compared to the traditional username/password approach.

Switching Back to Username/Password

While we strongly recommend using Single Sign-On for security reasons, if you find yourself in a situation where you no longer have access to your Google account and need to revert to the username/password method, you can request to deactivate SSO. To do this, send a formal request from your user email address to hirepos@hirepos.com.au. Once we process your request, if you log in successfully using Google or any other SSO method again, the traditional username/password option will be disabled.

By following these steps, you can seamlessly manage your HirePOS account using your Google credentials while ensuring the highest level of security for your data and transactions.
