Change Password

Edited

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to change your user login password for HirePOS, specifically for users who are not utilising the recommended Single Sign-On (SSO) options such as Microsoft or Google.

Changing Your Password

To change your password, please follow these steps:

  1. When already logged into HirePOS, click your User Initials at the top right corner of the app to open the User Profile popup.

  2. Click the Change Password menu option to be redirected to the Manage Account screen.

  3. Enter your current password.

  4. Enter your new password. Remember that passwords must typically contain at least 12 characters, including letters, numbers, and special characters like !@#$%.

  5. Re-enter your new password to confirm.

  6. Click Change Password to complete the password update.

Forgot Your Password?

If you forget your password, please note that passwords are encrypted and cannot be retrieved. You can use the Forgot Password link on the HirePOS login screen to reset your password.

Important note for Microsoft or Google sign-ins: If you are logging in with your Microsoft or Google account, the Forgot Password link will not work. In this case, you must manage your login credentials through the respective Single Sign-On (SSO) providers.

Password Recommendations

For security purposes, consider the following recommendations when creating a password:

  • Use a minimum of 12 characters.

  • Include at least 3 of the following 4 elements in your password: 1 uppercase letter, 1 lowercase letter, 1 number, or 1 special symbol.

  • Consider using a passphrase (a sequence of words) as it is easier to remember and more secure due to its length.

  • Ensure your password is unique to your HirePOS account and not used elsewhere.

  • Avoid using personal information such as names, birthdays, and phone numbers in your password.

  • Never share your password via text or email.

  • Your HirePOS password should be unique, complex, and never reused across other systems or shared with anyone.

For added convenience and security, you may also consider using the Microsoft or Google sign-in method as an alternative to traditional password-based logins.
