Simplify Layout

In Hirepos, the Simplify Layout preferences feature allows Admin users to customize the visibility of page elements for general users, streamlining the data entry process. This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to configure these preferences effectively.

To access the Simplify Layout preferences:

1. From the main menu strip at the top, navigate to Setup > Preferences > Simplify Layout.

2. Click on the various sub-headings to expand the sections.

3. Toggle off any page elements that you do not want general users to see.

4. Click the "Save Changes" button located towards the bottom right of the page.

Any changes made will be immediately effective for general users.

By default, the Booking/Invoice screen displays an "On Hire Now" button in the Hired From field when no date is present in the field. Similarly, the Hired To field shows a "Return Now" button if no date is entered.

These buttons function similarly to the "Now" link above the fields. Additionally, you can utilize the "Copy" link to transfer dates from Booked From to Hired From or Booked To to Hired To.

If you prefer manual date/time entry over using the buttons, you can follow these steps:

1. Go to Setup > Preferences > Simplify Layout.

2. Click on the Sales Record sub-heading to reveal the options.

3. Toggle off the option "Show 'On Hire Now' and 'Return Now' buttons."

These changes will apply globally to all users. Please note that only Admin users have access to these preferences.
