Custom Form Templates allow you to collect additional information from customers at checkout in your online store. This feature is useful when the standard HirePOS fields do not cover your specific requirements. Follow the steps below to set up and utilize Custom Form Templates effectively.

Displaying Form Template Fields on Checkout

To display form template fields on the checkout screen:

  1. From the main menu strip at the top, navigate to Setup > Preferences > Online Store.

  2. Click the Custom Fields tab.

  3. In the Form Template dropdown, select a relevant template you have created.

  4. Click Save Changes.

These custom fields will now be visible in the Online Store checkout screen, allowing you to gather additional information from your customers. The fields will also be included in the notification email sent to Your Notification Email as per the Checkout tab in Setup > Preferences > Online Store.

Setting Up a Custom Form Template

To create a Custom Form Template:

  1. Navigate to Setup > Preferences > Form Templates.

  2. Click an existing template to edit or create a New Template.

  3. Set the Type, Label, and Placeholder for each field in the template.

  4. Customize the form template according to your requirements and click Save.

Using Custom Form Templates

Once you've created a form template, you can utilize it in various sections:

  • On the Online Store:

    1. Go to Setup > Preferences > Online Store.

    2. Click on the Custom Fields tab.

    3. Select the Form template you created from the dropdown.

    4. Click Save Changes.

  • On the Invoice Screen:

    1. Open a Sales Record.

    2. Go to the Custom Fields tab.

    3. Click Custom Form and select the Template to use.

  • On the Item Details Screen:

    1. Go to Setup > Items and edit an item.

    2. Access the Custom Fields tab.

    3. Click Custom Form and select the Template to use.

Custom Form Data in Report Templates

You can customize Report templates like Tax Invoices and Delivery Dockets to display custom form data. The data will be shown in a group format, with one line for each field label and value.
