In HirePOS, setting your opening hours is crucial to ensure smooth operations and prevent any scheduling conflicts with your customers. By defining your trading days, you can control when customers can book hires, avoiding any inconveniences such as rescheduling collections or having customers show up when your shop is closed.
Defining Opening Hours
Opening Hours in HirePOS allow you to specify the days you are open for business, whether it's Monday to Friday, Monday to Saturday, or any other combination. This feature restricts customers from booking hires that start or end on days when you are not operating.
While customers can still make bookings that span non-trading days, this setting ensures that no hires are scheduled to begin or end on closed days.
How to Set Opening Hours
To configure your Opening Hours, navigate to Setup > Preferences > Opening Hours or Setup > Preferences > Online Store > Availability(tab) > Opening Hours.
By default, HirePOS assumes you trade seven days a week. If your business operates on a different schedule, simply access the Opening Hours section and deselect the days when you are closed.
It's important to note that the Opening Hours feature primarily impacts the online store booking process, ensuring that customers can only book hires during your specified trading days.
