In HirePOS, customizing report templates can help you personalize your documents and make them easily identifiable. This guide will walk you through the process of renaming custom report templates and settings within HirePOS.

Renaming Report Templates

If you have a custom report template that you want to rename, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Setup > Preferences > Report Templates & Settings.

  2. Changing the placeholder values in this section will affect how the reports are named throughout the software, particularly in the Preview area of the Sales record screen (Quotes/Bookings/Invoices).

  3. Before making any changes, ensure you know the current name of the template you intend to edit to avoid confusion.

Requesting Custom Report Template Changes

If you require significant modifications to your report template, it's recommended to have the customization done by HirePOS. To submit a custom request, follow these steps:

  1. Click on Help > Custom Request, located under the (?) icon in the top right corner of the HirePOS interface.

  2. Custom work is charged according to the pricing details available at HirePOS Pricing Page.

Custom Template Categories

Within the Report Templates & Settings section, you can find the following categories for custom templates:

  • Tax Invoice (2/3): Templates used for generating Quote/Booking/Invoice documents.

  • Delivery Docket (2/3): Templates for paperwork related to items and job information, excluding pricing details.

  • Custom Template (2/3): Reserved for unique cases where standard categories do not apply.

Identifying the Report to Rename

If you are unsure which report template to edit, follow these steps:

  1. Open an existing invoice through Sales > Sales, the Reminders Screen, or another relevant section.

  2. Click on Preview.

  3. Select Templates in the top right corner of the screen.

  4. Review the available options to identify the template you wish to rename, often labeled as "Tax Invoice (2)".

  5. Once you have identified the template, return to Setup > Preferences > Report Templates & Settings to make the necessary changes.
