Troubleshooting Email Templates

When using HirePOS for your business, it's essential to ensure that your email templates are set up correctly to avoid any issues with directing customers to specific invoices. If you find that your emails are directing customers to a particular invoice instead of using a generic placeholder, you may need to make adjustments in the Email Templates and Settings section. Follow the steps below to resolve this issue:

Navigating to Email Templates and Settings

To access the Email Templates and Settings in HirePOS, navigate to Setup > Preferences > Email Templates and Settings.

Identifying the Issue

If the problem lies in your default template, remain on the current screen. However, if the issue is within one of your 'other' templates, click the Other Email Templates button located at the bottom of the screen and select the template causing the problem from the list.

Adjusting the Email Template

Once you have identified the template causing the issue, locate the "View Invoice" button within the email template. Remove the button by selecting it and clicking the remove button.

Replace the removed button with a {ViewButton} placeholder. This placeholder will be displayed within curly braces: {ViewButton}.

Testing the Email Template

After making the necessary changes, save the email template. To ensure that the problem is resolved, test the template by sending a new invoice to your own email address. Verify that the emails are now directing recipients to the correct invoice without any issues.

By following these steps and adjusting your email templates as needed, you can ensure that your communication with customers through HirePOS is seamless and accurate.
