To get started, visit the Tyro Partner Offer website at https://www.tyro.com/lp/tyro-partner-offer/. Submit your details in the provided form, and a Tyro EFTPOS Integration Specialist will reach out to discuss how Tyro can benefit your business and determine your eligibility.

Pair your web browser with an EFTPOS terminal

For a successful connection between HirePOS and Tyro, ensure you are using a supported browser such as Chrome or Edge. Follow these steps:

  1. Go to Setup > Preferences > Default Payment Settings from the main menu.

  2. Click on the Pair terminal link, which will open a new browser tab for Tyro Configuration.

  3. Select your Tyro Terminal type and follow the on-screen instructions to configure the terminal device.

  4. Click Next, enter your Merchant ID provided by Tyro, Terminal ID, and click Authorise.

  5. Upon successful authorization, you will see a "Pairing successful" prompt. Click OK and close the Tyro Configuration tab.

Receive a payment via EFTPOS

When receiving a payment via EFTPOS, follow these steps:

  1. Receive an invoice payment as usual via the Invoices page.

  2. In the Receive Payment page, select the EFTPOS (Tyro) method for the payment type received.

  3. Click Save New, Save & Receipt, or Save & Preview. A prompt with Tyro EFTPOS terminal details will appear.

  4. If the transaction is declined, a small EFTPOS receipt will be displayed for printing.

  5. If the transaction is successful, you will proceed to the relevant HirePOS screen, and the receipt will include an EFTPOS style receipt.

Refund a Tyro payment

To process a refund for a Tyro payment, follow these steps:

  1. Process the refund in HirePOS as you would for any other payment.

  2. From the operator's perspective, refunding an EFTPOS transaction follows the same steps as receiving a payment.

By following these instructions, you can efficiently integrate Tyro EFTPOS with HirePOS, ensuring smooth payment transactions and enhancing your overall business experience.
