Zapier (Overview)
This document provides a comprehensive guide on how to seamlessly integrate HirePOS with Zapier to automate tasks and streamline workflows.
Getting Started with Zapier
Zapier offers a platform to connect HirePOS with over 5,000 web services through automated connections known as Zaps. These Zaps can be set up quickly without any coding knowledge, enabling you to automate routine tasks and establish connections between different applications.
To begin integrating HirePOS with Zapier, follow these steps:
Sign up for a free Zapier account here.
Log in to your Zapier account or create a new one.
Navigate to 'My Apps' from the top menu bar.
Click on 'Connect a new account' and search for 'HirePOS'.
Use your HirePOS credentials (API Key & Secret) to connect your HirePOS account to Zapier.
Obtaining HirePOS API Key & Secret
To retrieve your HirePOS API Key & Secret for authorization when creating Zaps, follow these steps:
In the HirePOS v5 web app, go to 'Setup > Preferences > Accounting Integration & Other API's' from the main menu.
Click on the 'HirePOS API Keys (use for Zapier)' link to enter or retrieve your API Keys.
If you do not see any keys, please send a request to hirepos@hirepos.com.au.
Activating a Zapier Trigger in HirePOS
To activate a Zapier Trigger in HirePOS, follow these steps:
From the main menu, go to 'Setup > Preferences > Accounting Integration & Other API's'.
Click on 'Triggers & Webhooks (use for Zapier)' from the Other API's menu.
To activate a trigger when Sales Records, Customers, or Items are changed, select the relevant checkbox.
Refer to the HirePOS Webhooks API for additional information.
Click 'Save Changes' to apply the settings.
Once the trigger is activated, you can start creating automations using pre-made Zaps or by customizing your own with the Zap Editor. The process is user-friendly and does not require any coding expertise.
