Units Accounting Export

In this guide, we will walk you through the process of activating and configuring the Units module in HirePOS for seamless integration with your accounting system.

To activate the Units module, follow these steps:

1. From the Main Menu strip at the top, navigate to Setup > Preferences > Accounting Integration & Other API's.

2. Click on the Accounting Integration menu option.

3. Change the option to Units.

4. The Access Key and Database Id settings need to be configured by HirePOS support on your database. Once set, they are 'read-only' and should not require changes.

5. Click Save Changes to apply the settings.

Account Codes play a crucial role in the Units module. Here's how to set them up:

1. From the Main Menu strip, go to Setup > Branches.

2. Select a branch to edit.

3. Enter a number in the Branch Code field.

4. Save Changes.

Configure the Account Codes for Item Types as follows:

1. From the Main Menu strip, go to Setup > Item Related > Item Types.

2. Click on an Item Type to edit.

3. Enter a relevant account code in the Account Code field.

4. Save Changes.

Exporting invoices is a critical step in the process. Here's how to do it:

1. From the "Home" screen or "Reminders List" screen in HirePOS, select the Units option.

2. The Units Export module will open in a new browser window.

3. Choose the relevant date range based on the Invoice Date.

4. Select the desired invoices to export.

5. Click the Units Transfer button to export the invoices to Units.

After the export, successful transactions will be marked with a green background and a tick icon in the Exported column. Any errors will be highlighted in red. Remember, each invoice number can only be exported once, and it's advisable to export invoices only after they are finalized in the system.
