Staff (Overview)

Staff represent employees in your organisation within HirePOS. While distinct from users, the concepts are related: Staff refer to employees in general, while users are individuals who can log in and use HirePOS. This article discusses Staff in HirePOS.

Adding a Staff Member

To add a staff member, navigate to the Setup section and click on Staff.

On the Staff/Crew List screen, locate the + New Staff button at the top left corner and click on it.

You will be directed to the Staff screen where you can input all the necessary details about the staff member.

Fill in the required fields such as First Name and Last Name.

Once you have entered the information, go to the bottom right of the screen and click on the Save New button to save the staff member's details.

Entering Staff Details

When adding a staff member, you will come across various fields that need to be filled out. Here are some of the key fields:

Basic Information

  • First Name: Enter the staff member's first name.

  • Last Name: Input the staff member's last name.

  • Email: Provide the staff member's email address.

  • Default Branch: If applicable, select the branch from the dropdown menu.

  • PIN: If using the HR module, set a PIN for crew invitations.

Address Details

  • Address Line 1: Enter the street address or P.O. Box number.

  • Address Line 2: Add additional address information like apartment number or building name.

  • City: Specify the city where the staff member is located.

  • State: Select the state of residence for the staff member.

  • Postcode: Enter the postcode of the staff member's current address.

Contact Information

  • Phone 1, 2, 3: Add relevant contact numbers, and enable SMS messaging if it's a mobile number.

  • Fax: Include the fax number of the staff member if applicable.

Additional Details

  • Date of Birth: Enter the staff member's date of birth manually or using the calendar icon.

  • Prompt: Not applicable.

  • Notes: Add any internal notes that are relevant to the staff member.

By completing these fields accurately, you can ensure that your staff information is up to date and easily accessible within the Hirepos system.
