The Branch Receivals feature in HirePOS is designed to streamline the process of managing branch transfers. This document provides a comprehensive guide on how to set up and activate the Branch Receivals feature for staff members, ensuring efficient tracking and completion of branch transfers.

Introduction

In HirePOS, the Branch Receivals feature allows staff to flag when branch transfers have been received into their branch and mark them as completed. This document provides a step-by-step guide on how to set up and activate Branch Receivals for staff members.

Setting a Default Branch for the Staff Record

Before activating the Branch Receivals permission, it is essential to ensure that the linked Staff record for the User has a Default Branch set against them. Follow these steps:

  1. From the main menu strip at the top, navigate to Setup > Staff to view the staff list.

  2. Click on the staff record that needs editing.

  3. Assign the relevant Branch by selecting from the Default Branch dropdown list.

  4. Click the Save Changes button at the bottom right to save the changes.

Activating the Branch Receivals Permission

The Branch Receivals permission needs to be activated on a user-by-user basis. Ensure that the Staff record has the same email address as the user login. Follow these steps:

  1. From the main menu strip at the top, go to Setup > Preferences > Users.

  2. Click on the user row for the user you wish to activate Branch Receivals for.

  3. Click the Permissions sub-heading in the User Roles screen to show the permission settings.

  4. Toggle on the Show Branch Receivals option.

  5. Click the Save Changes button at the bottom right to apply the changes.

Using the Branch Receivals Button

Once the Branch Receivals permission is activated, users will see a Branch Receivals button on the Reminders screen. Follow these steps to use the Branch Receivals feature:

  1. Click the Branch Receivals button to access the Branch Transfers List screen.

  2. Only branch transfers with the same Branch To as the staff member's default branch will be listed.

  3. Pending transfers are highlighted, and tab filters can be used to show only Pending transfers.

  4. Click on a Branch Transfer record to edit it.

  5. Slide the Status toggle to Completed and add any additional comments if needed.

  6. Click the Save Changes button to confirm the completion of the transfer.

Important Note

It is important to note that once a transfer is marked as completed, it cannot be reversed unless a user with Setup permissions creates another transfer to move the items again.

Conclusion

By following these steps, you can effectively set up and utilize the Branch Receivals feature in HirePOS to manage branch transfers efficiently.
