Calendar Day
In Hirepos, the Calendar Day setting is a useful feature that excludes any time component and focuses solely on the start and finish day of a hire. This ensures that regardless of the specific times a hire starts and finishes, the entire days are counted.
Calculating Calendar Days
For instance, if a hire commences at 6 am on Monday and concludes at 5 pm on Wednesday, this duration is calculated as 3 Calendar Days, encompassing Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
Applying Calendar Days Using the Time Span
To apply Calendar Days in Hirepos:
In the Invoice screen, navigate to the Time Span (Est) or Time Span (Act) field.
Enter the number of days to be charged to the customer.
Check the 'Calendar Days' checkbox.
Click OK to confirm the changes.
It's important to note that the Booked To and Hired To fields will disregard the times and retain the original hours/minutes. Additionally, the invoice line units with the Calendar day option enabled will calculate the same number of days as entered in the Time Span.
Changing the Calendar Day Setting for a Selling Unit
To modify the Calendar Day setting for a selling unit in Hirepos:
From the main menu strip at the top, select Setup > Item Related > Selling Units.
Choose the selling unit you wish to edit.
Tick the 'Base on Calendar Day (Exclude Times)' checkbox in the Time Span tab.
Click Save Changes to apply the new setting.
By following these steps, you can effectively utilize the Calendar Day feature in Hirepos to streamline your invoicing and rental processes.
