Item Length
In Hirepos, setting up and using item length is essential for managing fence hire and calculating the number of items required for a job. This guide will walk you through the process of setting up item length and entering the required length for a job in the Booking/Invoice screen.
Setting Up Item Length
To set up the length of an item in Hirepos, follow these steps:
From the main menu strip at the top, navigate to Setup > Items.
Select the item you want to edit.
Go to the Other tab in the item details screen.
Enter a numeric value in the Length field.
Scroll down and click Save Changes to save the item with the specified length.
Entering Length Required for a Job
Once you have set up the item length, follow these steps to enter the required length for a job:
In the Booking/Invoice screen, add the item to the job as usual via the Code column.
The Total Length Required section will appear.
Enter a numeric value in the length required field.
The Qty/Items value will be automatically calculated based on the panel length and total length required for the job.
Note: If you do not need the "Total Length Required" field to be displayed on the Booking screen, you can use the "Depth" field instead.
