Users have the flexibility to modify prices through two primary methods: exporting and importing item prices or utilizing the built-in Item Price Adjustments tool. This guide will walk you through each method step-by-step.

Exporting and Importing Item Prices

If you wish to adjust your list prices using a percentage, such as for Consumer Price Index (CPI) adjustments, you can follow these steps:

  1. Export your Item Prices to a CSV file.

  2. Edit the prices in an Excel sheet.

  3. Re-import the updated prices back into HirePOS.

Using the Item Price Adjustments Tool

The Item Price Adjustments tool within HirePOS provides a convenient way to adjust prices. Here's how you can utilize this tool:

  1. Navigate to Setup > Items > Options > Item/Price Adjustments.

  2. Select the Item Type you want to adjust.

  3. Click on the Bulk Adjustments button.

  4. Set the percentage for adjustment and review other settings in the popup.

Quickly Editing Item Descriptions

In HirePOS, you can swiftly edit item descriptions by following these steps:

  1. Locate the small padlock icon next to the description header.

  2. Click on the padlock icon to make the description field editable.

  3. Exercise caution when making changes as they are saved immediately and cannot be automatically undone.

Directly Editing Prices

If you prefer to directly edit prices against items, you can do so by:

  1. Accessing Setup > Items > Options > Item/Price Adjustments.

  2. Selecting the Item Type you wish to modify.

  3. Manually edit the prices by typing into the respective cell.

Remember that all changes are saved instantly as you move to the next cell, and there is no undo feature available.
