Item Prompts and Messages

This document provides comprehensive information on how to effectively utilize the Prompts and Messages tabs in Item Details to enhance communication and convey important information to both staff and customers.

Prompts

Within the Setup section, under Items and then Item Details, you can access the Prompts tab to provide specific messages related to each item.

Sales Prompt

The Sales Prompt is a message that will be displayed in a prompt box on the Sales Record screen when the item is added to a sales record. This feature serves as an internal message or reminder for staff members, ensuring they have the necessary information at the point of sale.

Returns Prompt

The Returns Prompt is a message that will be shown in a prompt box on the Sales/Hire > Returns Screen when the item is being returned. This prompt can be utilized to communicate important information to staff members who are processing returns, thereby streamlining the return process.

Messages & Notes

The Messages & Notes tab in Item Details allows you to add messages that are visible to customers, enhancing their experience and providing them with relevant information.

Invoice Message

An Invoice Message is displayed to the customer on their invoice. It appears in italics beneath the item in question, providing additional information or instructions that may be necessary for the customer to understand their purchase better.

Docket Message

A Docket Message is visible to the customer on their Delivery and Pickup Dockets. Similar to the Invoice Message, it appears in italics beneath the item and can convey important details to the customer, ensuring they are well-informed about their order.
