Customising Customer Details

If your customers require a Trading As name or a Trust Account to be displayed on invoices, you can easily add this information in the Customer details screen.

To customize customer details, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Setup > Customers, and select a customer to edit or add a new customer record.

  2. In the Customer details screen, click the + icon next to the Company field to reveal the second company field.

  3. Enter the Company Pty Ltd name in the first field and the Trading As or Trust Account name in the second field.

If you need your Tax Invoice PDF template customized to include this new field, you can submit a custom request via Help > Custom Request in the top right menu.

Customising Report Templates & Settings

If you have custom report templates, you may want to rename them for easier identification and use within HirePOS.

To modify report templates and settings, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Setup > Preferences > Report Templates & Settings to make changes.

  2. Modifying placeholder values in this section will affect how reports are named in the software, particularly in the Preview area of the Sales record screen.

Before making any edits, ensure you are renaming the correct template to avoid confusion.

Custom Report Requests

For complex customizations beyond cosmetic changes, it is recommended to request assistance from HirePOS.

You can submit a custom request through Help > Custom Request in the top right menu. Please note that custom work is subject to pricing as outlined on our pricing page.

Custom Template Names

This section allows you to rename any custom templates associated with your HirePOS subscription:

  • Tax Invoice (2/3): Custom templates for generating Quote/Booking/Invoice paperwork.

  • Delivery Docket (2/3): Templates for items and job information, excluding pricing details.

  • Custom Template (2/3): Used for unique cases or extensive custom templates.

If you are unsure which report to rename, follow these steps:

  1. Open an existing invoice via Sales > Sales or the Reminders Screen.

  2. Click Preview and then Templates in the top right corner.

  3. Select the template you wish to rename.

Once you have identified the template, return to Setup > Preferences > Report Templates & Settings to make the necessary changes.
