Crew/Staff and the Delivery/Pickup Schedule
The HR and Delivery/Pickup tools can work together when Staff/Crew need to be scheduled for deliveries, pickups or related on-site work.
This is done by creating HR Shifts for the relevant logistics work and assigning those Shifts to Related Tasks on the Sales Record.
Set up Delivery and Pickup Shifts
First create the required Shifts.
Delivery
Go to HR > Shifts.
Create or edit the Shift used for delivery work.
Enable Delivery Schedule.
Save the Shift.
Pickup
Go to HR > Shifts.
Create or edit the Shift used for pickup work.
Enable Pickup Schedule.
Save the Shift.
You can use separate names such as Delivery Crew and Pickup Crew to make the work easy to identify.
Add crew requirements to the Sales Record
Open the relevant Booking or Invoice, then:
Go to Extras > Related Tasks.
Add a Task for the required work.
Select the appropriate Delivery or Pickup Shift.
Enter the scheduled date/time and estimated hours.
Select the Staff/Crew member, or leave the Task unallocated.
Save the Task.
If several people are required, add one task row for each crew position.
Fill unallocated crew positions
If the required crew are not known yet, leave Staff/Crew blank.
The positions can later be:
Assigned manually
Offered to Staff/Crew through HR > Invitations
See Tasks and Crew Rostering and Inviting Crew to Jobs.
View crew with Delivery/Pickup jobs
When the Related Task uses a Shift configured for Delivery or Pickup scheduling, the assigned Staff/Crew can be shown with the corresponding job in:
Sales/Hire > Delivery/Pickup Schedule
This provides the logistics team with visibility of the crew associated with the work.
Driver/Vehicle Allocations
Driver/Vehicle Allocations is a separate logistics feature.
Use Driver/Vehicle Allocations when managing delivery drivers and vehicles.
Use Related Tasks when the work needs to be scheduled and managed through the HR crew/task workflow.
The two tools can be used alongside each other according to how your business manages logistics and staff.
