Hire Item Current Locations

The Hire Item Current Locations screen provides a quick overview of where your hire equipment is currently recorded in HirePOS.

Use this screen to find items that are:

• In stock

• Currently on hire

• Associated with a customer or invoice

• Available to view geographically on a map

Go to:

Reports > Delivery/Pickup > Hire Item Current Locations

The screen can also be opened from several item, availability and maintenance areas within HirePOS.

Use the search box to find a hire item by its description or code.

Additional filters can be used to narrow the list by details such as:

• Branch

• Branch State

• Item Category

• Individual Item

This is useful when managing a large hire fleet or reviewing equipment for a particular branch or category.

The All Hire tab provides an overall list of your hire items and their recorded location information.

Use this tab when you want a broad view of your hire fleet rather than only items that are currently in stock or on hire.

The In Stock tab shows hire items that are currently recorded as returned or otherwise not on hire.

For items that have previously been hired, HirePOS may also display information from the most recent hire, such as:

• Last Customer

• Hire dates

• Invoice number

This previous hire information can be useful when identifying where an item has recently come from.

The On Hire tab shows equipment that is currently recorded as being on hire.

Where available, the list includes information such as the:

• Customer

• Hire dates

• Invoice number

• Delivery or hire location

This provides a quick way to answer questions such as:

• Where is this piece of equipment?

• Which customer currently has it?

• What invoice is it associated with?

• When did the hire begin?

The On Hire Map tab displays currently on-hire equipment geographically using the location information recorded against the hire.

This can be useful for getting a visual overview of equipment spread across customer sites or delivery locations.

Only items with suitable location information can be plotted on the map.

Where invoice or customer information is displayed, use the available links to open the related record for more detail.

The Current Locations screen is primarily intended as a quick operational overview. For detailed hire history, availability, dispatch, return or invoice information, open the relevant item or sales record.
