Zapier Create Customer

Edited

The Create Customer action in Zapier allows you to automatically create a new customer record in HirePOS using information from another application.

For example, you can use this action to create a HirePOS customer when a new contact, form submission, or customer record is received through another app connected to Zapier.

How It Works

When the Create Customer action runs, the customer information mapped in your Zap is sent to the HirePOS Customers API endpoint in JSON format. HirePOS then creates a new customer record using the information provided.

Available Fields

The following customer fields can be populated when configuring the action:

  • Company – Customer or business name.

  • First Name / Last Name – Customer's first and last name.

  • Code – Customer code or reference.

  • Address Line 1 / Address Line 2 – Customer's street address.

  • City – Customer's city or suburb.

  • State – Customer's state, province, or region.

  • Postcode – Customer's postcode or ZIP code.

  • Country – Customer's country.

  • Phone 1 / Phone 2 / Phone 3 – Customer contact phone numbers.

  • Fax – Customer fax number.

  • Email – Customer email address.

  • Referral Source – Source through which the customer was referred.

  • Notes – Additional information or notes about the customer.

Example Uses

You can use the Create Customer action to automate workflows such as:

  • Creating a HirePOS customer from a website enquiry or form submission.

  • Creating a HirePOS customer when a new contact is added to another application.

  • Transferring customer details from a CRM or other business application into HirePOS.

When configuring your Zap, map the information from the previous Zapier step to the corresponding HirePOS customer fields. When the Zap runs successfully, a new customer record will be created in HirePOS.
