SendGrid Dashboard

Edited

The SendGrid Dashboard in HirePOS lets you review email activity and SendGrid suppression records associated with your configured SendGrid account.

The dashboard can be accessed via Setup > Preferences > Accounting Integration & Other API's > SendGrid.

From the SendGrid setup page, click the Sendgrid Dashboard link to open the email history screen. The current API key is saved before the dashboard opens.

Dashboard Tabs

The SendGrid Dashboard contains four tabs. Each tab can return up to a maximum of 50 results.

Recent Activity

The Recent Activity tab displays recent emails returned by SendGrid.

The following details are shown:

  • Status

  • Date

  • Recipient

  • Subject

  • Opens

  • Clicks

Emails that have been opened are displayed with an Opened status. Delivered emails that have not been opened are displayed as Delivered.

Note: SendGrid's EASE 30 Days add-on is required to access Recent Activity. If this feature is not enabled for your SendGrid account, HirePOS will display a message advising that Recent Activity is unavailable.

Bounces

The Bounces tab displays email addresses that have been added to SendGrid's bounce suppression list.

For each result, HirePOS displays:

  • Email address

  • Reason for the bounce

Blocks

The Blocks tab displays email addresses that SendGrid has blocked from delivery.

For each result, HirePOS displays:

  • Email address

  • Reason for the block

Spam

The Spam tab displays email addresses that have submitted a spam report through SendGrid.

SendGrid API Key Requirements

The dashboard uses the SendGrid API key configured in HirePOS to retrieve email activity and suppression information.

If no API key has been entered, the dashboard displays a warning directing you back to the SendGrid settings page.

If SendGrid rejects access to the Bounces, Blocks or Spam endpoints, HirePOS displays a message advising you to create or configure an appropriate API key in SendGrid.

Troubleshooting

If the dashboard displays an error:

  • Confirm that a valid SendGrid API Key has been entered in HirePOS.

  • Use the Test API Key option on the SendGrid setup page to confirm that HirePOS can connect to SendGrid.

  • Check that the SendGrid API key has sufficient permissions to access the required information.

  • If only Recent Activity is unavailable, check whether the required SendGrid EASE 30 Days add-on is enabled.

The Test API Key function displays either a success message with the API key name and ID or an error if the connection fails.
