Deactivate Online Store
This document provides a comprehensive step-by-step guide on how to completely deactivate and decommission your online store within the HirePOS system. Following these instructions will ensure a smooth transition and prevent any disruption for your customers.
Steps to Deactivate Your Online Store
1. Remove Links and Iframes
Before proceeding with the deactivation process, it is essential to remove any links or iframes that direct customers to your online store from your business website. This step is crucial as it prevents customer-facing messages from appearing on your online store, which may indicate that the store is inactive or unable to connect.
2. Check for Existing Orders
Navigate to Sales/Hire > Online Store and ensure that you do not have any pending orders that are waiting to be actioned. If there are any, please take the necessary actions before fully deactivating the online store.
3. Update Online Store Settings
Next, navigate to the following path in your HirePOS account:
Go to Setup > Preferences > Modules.
Toggle off the Online Store setting.
4. Request Full Deactivation
Finally, send an email to hirepos@hirepos.com.au to request the full deactivation of your online store. Please specify that you no longer require this feature.
