MYOB - Set up Connection
To establish a connection between HirePOS and MYOB, follow these steps:
From the main menu strip, navigate to Setup > Preferences > Accounting & API/Integrations.
Select Accounting.
Choose MYOB Business from the accounting software options.
Click the Save Changes button at the bottom right.
Connect HirePOS to MYOB
To complete the connection:
Click the MYOB Export tile on the Home page in HirePOS. This open the normal MYOB authentication workflow, just as though you were logging into MYOB AccountRight directly.
You will be redirected to the HirePOS MYOB Exporter app.
By following these steps, you will successfully establish a connection between HirePOS and MYOB, enabling efficient data management and transfer between the two platforms.
User Access
To connect HirePOS to MYOB Business, you’ll need to sign in with a MYOB user that has Administrator access to the selected MYOB business/company file. This is a MYOB security requirement for approving third-party app connections.
Once connected, HirePOS will only request access to the MYOB areas needed for the integration, such as customers, suppliers, sales, purchases, banking, general ledger, and company file details.
By default, the company File does not have a password set, but an administrator can set a password to restrict access.
If you encounter an "Access Denied" message when attempting to use the MYOB exporter, it is likely because a password has been set or changed for the MYOB company file since you last used it. If you have access to it, you can click the padlock icon when opening the MYOB exporter to enter your company file credentials.
There are three online access levels:
Online Owner: The highest access level, assigned to the individual who originally set up the subscription.
Online Administrator: Can access and manage any company file associated with the owner's software serial number.
Online File User: This level cannot access the exporter.
