Detrack Delivery Management

Detrack is a third-party app designed for vehicle tracking and delivery management.

Refer to the Detrack support page for guidance on using Detrack: https://detrack.freshdesk.com/support/home

Create a new Detrack account

  1. Visit the Detrack website https://www.detrack.com/ and click the Sign up link to register.
  2. After you complete the sign up process, you can return back to the Detrack website to sign in, or you can go directly to https://app.detrack.com and sign in.

Connect HirePOS to Detrack

  1. In the Detrack dashboard, from the main menu strip at the top, go to Settings > API Key.
  2. Copy the API Key provided to your clipboard.
  3. From the main menu strip at the top in HirePOS, go to Setup > Preferences > Accounting Integration & Other API's, then choose Detrack.
  4. Paste the API Key into the Detrack API Key field.
  5. Click Save Changes.

Set up Vehicles in Detrack

  1. Once logged into the Detrack dashboard, click the Vehicles menu that appears in the top menu strip.
  2. Click the Add Vehicle button to set up a new vehicle in Detrack.
  3. Take note of the Detrack ID field. When drivers install Detrack on their mobile device, they are provided with a Detrack ID on the mobile app, and this needs to be entered into the Detrack ID against the vehicle.
  4. The next field in the Vehicle set up is the Name / Vehicle No., and this needs to exactly match the reference of the Supplier/Driver that you have set up in HirePOS.
  5. As a once off, you need to nominate in HirePOS which Supplier field you will use for the Detrack Vehicle Name/No.
    The default is Code.
    1. From the main menu strip at the top in HirePOS, go to Setup > Preferences > Accounting Integration & Other API's, then choose Detrack.
    2. Select the Supplier field you wish to use from the Detrack Vehicle Name/No. Field dropdown.
    3. Click Save Changes.
  6. Continue to populate the remaining fields for the new vehicle in Detrack, and refer to their documentation for further information on use of their product.

Export jobs to Detrack

Exporting delivery/pickup jobs is performed seamlessly in HirePOS via the Delivery/Pickup Schedule screen. See the Delivery/Pickup Schedule help doc for further information on scheduling delivery/pickup jobs in HirePOS.

  1. In HirePOS, from the main menu strip at the top, go to Sales/Hire > Delivery/Pickup Schedule.
  2. The schedule normally defaults to todays date and shows all jobs for today.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the list, checking over the jobs as you scroll down.
  4. Click the Post to Detrack button located at the bottom of the page.
    A progress bar will appear, and the jobs will be pushed through to Detrack.
